Winter Wildlife & Landscape Tour — Jackson Hole & Grand Teton

Summary:

This full-day winter wildlife and landscape tour begins with convenient resort pickup and explores the wildlife habitats and winter landscapes of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. We start at the National Elk Refuge (Miller Butte area), where guests may observe large elk herds along with bison, bighorn sheep, coyotes, and bald eagles. With some luck, wolves or a mountain lion may also be seen.

The tour continues into Grand Teton National Park, visiting prime wildlife corridors and iconic winter viewpoints. Common stops include Gros Ventre, the Moose–Wilson Corridor, Pacific Creek, Oxbow Bend, Willow Flats, Pilgrim Creek, and Colter Bay, with the possibility of continuing toward the Yellowstone South Plateau if conditions allow.

Depending on time, weather, road access, and guest interests, additional areas may include Buffalo Valley, Togwotee Pass, Teton Pass, Teton Valley, or the backside of the Grand Tetons in Idaho. This experience is fully customizable—tell us what you’d like to focus on, and the day will be tailored to your goals.
